Program and Creative Process
Starts on Monday morning
Start is on Monday morning in the different workgroups.
Dag Studenten,
Hello Students,
We are still busy arranging everything for the Bildungsweek. There are regular adjustments. For example, we also depend on a few people outside Saxion, which means that times can change. So pay attention to this. The latest info can be found on the site: https://forartsake.weebly.com/ Next week you will receive an email with the latest news. In any case, I can already report that registering for the different workshops on Blackboard will open on Thursday, June 11 at 8:00 PM.
What can we learn from art when it comes to creativity?
Art awakens our heads and senses through critical questions. Art invites dialogue by challenging you to take a different perspective. In this way, art feeds the imagination and creates space. Space in time, for ideas, to try out, for contact and to experience. So there is also room for personal meaning. |

Review
At the end of week , Friday at the latest, the end products, including the assignments, have been presented. The creative process and the end products, based on the theme research, are visible in this. Job requirements: Create a work of art; visual (2D, 3D, 4D), drama piece or piece of music with which you have depicted the Minor. |
Four stages of the creative process
The entire project week is built up from these four phases. Orientation is about stimulating the student to explore the assignment and the theme. This involves observing (seeing, hearing, feeling, etc.), associating, fantasizing, contemplating and gaining (new) ideas. For example, a work of art is shown, music is listened to, a story is told or a performance is watched. In this phase, the reflection focuses on the space to view, listen to and experience the theme or assignment from all sides. Then the student investigates various possibilities and solutions for the assignment or the processing of the theme. The students are encouraged to think of their own, different possibilities and to make choices (alone or together with fellow students). The reflection therefore focuses on articulating the various choices in this research phase. If desired, they can refer to elements from the orientation phase. When the students have completed the research phase, they make use of the subject-specific knowledge and skills they need to carry out the assignment. In reflection, a relationship is always made between the choices in the implementation phase and the research phase. In this phase, feedback is given by the teacher, guest lecturer or fellow students on the implementation. In a next phase, the product and the completed process will be considered in more detail. Lessons are formulated that form the start for the next assignment and the next creative process. This is the evaluation phase. CREATIVE PROCESS To step: The creative process offers structure and is a practical method to change your way of thinking. Step 1: problem analysis Often the real problem is poorly formulated. To avoid such a false start, it is good to reformulate the problem in various ways. The aim of this phase is to arrive at a formulation that best describes the problem. Step 2: diverge In diverging, finding as many solutions to the problem as possible is central. Unorthodox methodologies are deliberately used for this. The problem is not addressed directly, but through side entrances. The starting point is: look at it from a different angle. Step 3: converge During convergence, the selected ideas are enriched and translated into reality through rational techniques. Step 4: realize With an idea alone you are not there yet, you also have to realize it. This is central during the fourth step of the creative process. Themes that play a role in this phase are protecting, financing and communicating ideas. |
